- Change your air filters regularly—You should plan on replacing your AC unit’s air filters on a monthly basis. - Clean the coils—Your air conditioner’s coils collect dirt over time. This dirt reduces airflow and causes your unit to absorb heat, which can inhibit your AC system’s functionality.
- Remove debris—Things like grass clippings, dirt, and other debris that builds up around your AC unit should be cleared up regularly. You should also trim shrubs and other plants away from your unit to ensure they do not impede airflow.
